WoW Priest Macros – The Smart Way to Play World of Warcraft

Playing a World of Warcraft character properly can be difficult. You have to play very fast, find the best strategies to use in the race, and also improvise a lot. The fact that each class has a lot of skills doesn’t help at all. In a class like Priest, it can be even more difficult. This is why it is important to have good WoW Priest macros.

Without the proper macros, you may find yourself in situations where you just can’t use abilities fast enough to help your friends. Binding spells to keys close to your hand works, but you can only do this for a very small number of abilities. When you use WoW Priest Macros, you will see that you can do much more with a single button.

Here is a very good example. Let’s say you’re on a raid. A meeting has started and everyone is busy doing what they need to do. At one point, you get aggressive when you were spamming heals. What every Priest does in a group. Now you have to let everyone know that you’ve compromised and also keep recovering, as the tank is counting on you. If you’re lucky, someone might notice you have aggro and help you out, but we both know that never happens.

This is the smart thing to do in such a situation. You do the following macro beforehand:

/rw The healer is being attacked!
/Help me

What this simple macro will do is alert the entire raid that you are under attack. Everyone will notice a raid alert as players get used to them. You can change that text to whatever you want. The idea is that with the push of a button you can get help and still heal without interruption.

Let’s say you want to be more effective in groups. You can press buttons all over the keyboard or do the smart thing, and that is to do WoW Priest macros to help you. Macros like this:

/to emit [help][target=targettarget,help][target=focus,help][target=player] Reparation Prayer

This macro will cast Prayer of Mending on the target of the enemy you have targeted. Very useful in both PvP and PvE if someone in the party has aggro when they shouldn’t. If you don’t have an enemy target, it will cast the spell on your Focus target. If you don’t have either, he’ll throw it at you.

That’s a lot of actions to take at the push of a button. And that is the point of macros. You can use more abilities in less time and taking up fewer slots on your quick bar. Just make sure you get the right macros from WoW Priest.
