Are you willing to support the constitutional right of assembly, while also respecting the essential need for the police to serve and protect the public and enable us to live in a safer environment? Unfortunately, in large part due to numerous abuses of power, the use of excessive (sometimes deadly) force, the Black Lives Matter movement has received much deserved attention and consideration. Why should this movement, and the need to end systemic racism, which exists, in so many aspects of American life, possibly overreact and demand a significant reduction in police funding, etc.? When we do the right thing and demand, defending the rights, freedoms and justice for all, will we still not need police protection? Protest is a key freedom and right for all Americans, but it must be non-violent! At the same time, while we need the police, those, Rotten apples, must be held accountable! Any type of criminal behavior, either looting and arson, or police abuse, is not acceptable! Doesn’t it make more sense to defend all constitutional rights, etc., for everyone, while also respecting the police, who, to a large extent, are fulfilling an important duty and function? With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss 5 relevant and important cases / considerations.

1. Right to assemble: This nation was founded, based on the right, to rally / protest, when there is any injustice etc! However, there is a significant difference / line, between gathering and protesting, versus the small number, trying to take advantage of this, and, proceeding, with criminal conduct, such as looting, burning, etc.

2. Looting / Arson: Looting and arson are criminal acts / behaviors and harm the efforts of peaceful protesters and harm the cause.

3. We need police protection: Would you want to live somewhere without police protection? Although most people love peace and are honest / honorable, will there sadly always be some criminals? The protesters should be, demanding, reform the police, to eliminate bad policemen, instead of using the slogan, Disinance the police!

Four. Take out the bad cops: There is no place, for bad policemen, in the police we protect, we need it and we deserve it! Necessary police reform, must protect the vast majority of police workers, while detained, abusers, responsible, etc!

5. Sound Policies: Why policies, both regarding the difference between acceptable peaceful protests, and criminal behavior, such as supporting responsible law enforcement, but holding abusers accountable, being sane, responsive and having some common sense? ?

Stop generalizing, whether it is protesters or police, and support, peaceful assemblies and demonstrations, and the vast majority of workers, police and, penalize, any criminal behavior, from any side! Doesn’t that make sense?
