There is a difference between bias and actual observation: do we want artificial intelligence for PC?

What some politically correct people call bias is actually just an artificial intelligent observation (AI) of the real environment. So what’s wrong with that? AI used probability when making decisions, have you ever heard of it? Everyone should. If a human being does not take into account what he experiences in his environment to make his decisions, then it could be said; It is not smart.

There was an interesting article in Accelerating Intelligence, the Singularity Institute’s newsletter, “The Struggle to Make AI Less Biased Than Its Creators” by Peter Rejcek, posted on the Singularity Hub website. The article read:

“The dirty little secret is about artificial intelligence. No, not the one about the machines taking over the world. That’s an old one. This one is more insidious. Data scientists, artificial intelligence experts, and others have suspected for a long time that would be a problem. AI is biased; sexism, age discrimination, racism, name and ism, and most likely the results produced by our machines are biased in one or more ways But an emerging think tank called ‘Diversity.AI’ believes our machines can do better than their creators when it comes to breaking down stereotypes and other barriers to inclusion. “

Of course, this article came from a left-wing socialist academic bias and point of view (point of view), so we can take it for what it’s worth. Yes, the article gave numerous examples of AI results in the questions asked, and we all remember when Google’s Image AI search tagged gorillas as black (African American) human beings, which is as racist as possible, but it was a simple mistake. Due to the measurement of the size of the nostrils, the size of the head, the bones of the jaw, the facial features, the color of the eyes, the color of the hair and the color of the skin. Should we be offended? No, but maybe work on that AI FRT (facial recognition technology) algorithm is needed.

Besides true machine learning, you have to learn, that means making mistakes, succeeding and learning from them as you get ‘smarter’, right? The author of the article cited above indicated; “AI is prejudice; sexism, ageism, racism, name an ism”, well I guess they tell us that Donald Trump is and we elect him president, maybe we should choose an artificial intelligence system to rule the country in that case ? Ah, I made you think, didn’t I?

Should we really reprogram AI to be “artificial not intelligent”? Just as we are fooling our society to believe that what they observe is wrong, for a more politically correct version? I don’t think that’s wise or smart. Maybe our AI is smarter than we think and we are the stupid ones pretending and living a lie from real and real observations? Maybe we can learn from AI to be better and smarter versions of ourselves. Celebrate diversity, never force it. Think about this.
