The mystery of online dating

Today, the world we live in has a lot to offer us. Everything you want will come to you; There are drones to deliver the goods at your doorstep! About one of them, however, I’m not sure. The concept of online dating is, was and may be a mystery to me forever.

A decade ago, you could see people frowning if someone started blind dating conversations. It is far behind now. Netizens are creating new milestones for themselves every day. Google can suggest your future partner in seconds; You can start dating that ‘wanted’ partner in no time. Thanks because Skype is there!

Orthodox-minded people may find it a waste of time and resources. Young people, however, delight in these things. Nor do I criticize them for using advanced technologies. However, I have to place a question mark next to his so-called ‘online dating’.

What is the end result that can be drawn from all of these? I can assume that most of the answers will sound like ‘nothing’. So why do young people indulge in such useless activities?

It worries me to see a 15-year-old girl who lives next to my door and looks at her mobile screen for almost 10 hours a day. Sometimes their expressions reflect happiness, sometimes sadness, and most of the time confused! The dilemma is that if I lecture her on the side effects of long hours of cell phone use, it won’t make any sense to her. Also, people who support “youth empowerment” might accuse me of “influencing the mind.” Therefore, I remain a silent observer. (I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep my mouth shut!)

Online dating is a fallacy to me! It is a literally ‘endless’ dream. You cannot look at reality behind the curtain. The Internet shows you what people allow. It crosses my heart to hear the news that a girl ran away with a ‘Facebook lover’ and eventually lost her life after being raped. What can someone do with “orthodox” thoughts? It seems that the takeoff of online dating has made people like me obsolete! It can be understood if ‘there is no country for the old’, but what about someone only 24 years old who is disappointed and worried?

I have unsolicited advice for young people. Sometimes the “believe what you see” theory doesn’t work either. How can you believe written things that are ‘editable’? Now, if it is about ‘online pleasure’, enjoy it and see how long it lasts. I do not subscribe to this theory.
