Sachin is the god of cricket even in this age of T20 cricket

Cricket is actually an Indian game that was invented by mistake in England. The English surely invented cricket, but it was only thanks to the Indians that cricket became so popular. In India cricket is considered a religion and cricketers are considered gods. Indian people act like devotees who can even contribute their blood for cricket. Cricket also helps India grow economically as it provides a lot of income to everyone involved.

The Indians are crazy about the gods, that is, the players. Almost all the players of the Indian Cricket Team are considered national heroes. However, the god of all gods is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Sachin, popularly known as ‘Little Master’, has served the Indian national team for almost 20 years. He is known as a right-handed hitter all over the world. He is famous for his attacking style and technique. He has combined style and technique to the right extent in his hitting.

He is even famous as a slow, leg-breaking medium-paced bowler. He can be called an all rounder as he has performed well as a batsman, bowler and fielder. No other cricketer in this world is as versatile as Sachin. He has great respect and fame all over the world. He is worshiped as the god of cricket all over the world.

As a hitter he has achieved almost every personal milestone. He has the highest runs in tests. He also has the most runs in one day international matches. He is the highest scorer of the century in both Test and One Day Internationals. With 99 centuries in his 20-year international career, he is now going to touch a new milestone of centuries of a century. He has also made a world record by hitting 200 off 147 balls against South Africa. This is the first double century in one-day internationals. There is not a single bowler in this world who has not dared to play Sachin. He has a God-gifted talent in him. This is the reason why he still plays for the India team while all his contemporary teammates have retired.

Sachin has shown his skills even in t20 cricket. Due to his aggressive batting style, he is not irrelevant in this new form of cricket. In IPL t20 cricket, he is an active member of the Mumbai Indians team. He became the sixth batsman to score more than 500 runs in a single edition of IPL t20 cricket. He also became the first captain to accumulate more than 500 runs in one edition of the IPL. With 8 fifties in IPL, he also holds the record for most fifty made by a captain in IPL t20 cricket tournament.

Sachin added another feather to his cap by winning the ICC World Cup in 2011. This was such an achievement that allowed Sachin to sit in the same seat as other great predecessors like Kapil Dev, Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Sunil Gavaskar etc.

Despite being attacked by ‘tennis elbow’ for half of his cricketing career, Sachin Tendulkar never gave up. His talent, his tenacity, his temperament made him the greatest of all greats. If cricket is a religion, then Sachin is the God of cricket.
