Online RPGs, soundtrack or your own mix?

So whether you’re sitting there, standing there, or whatever position you’re playing online role-playing games, you’re prepared to make the inevitable and difficult decision of: “Do I listen to the online role-playing game soundtrack?” free or play my own?”. music mix?”. If the MMORPG has no soundtrack or the music is horrible, well, then you go digging through your old vinyl (okay, do a search in your mp3 directories) to find the music you like best. for your online games.

Personally for me, if online games have a great soundtrack that really suits the atmosphere of the game, I’ll rock whatever they have. In most cases I find free online games to have pretty sub-par music to none at all, so I’ll put whatever I’m listening to right now (currently Primus and Prince, and no I’m not going in order alphabetical, it’s just a little happened). Whatever your taste in music, there will be something to suit every free online RPG game.

Ok I remember one time I brought my heavy 21″ CRT monitor and PC over to my friend Kurt’s house for my first MMORPG “Lan Party” if you can call it that lol. Well at this point I’ve just played whatever let the game throw me in. We were in the game running through a forest killing goblins or something and all of a sudden Kurt plays some Joe Satriani on his stereo, and let me tell you, things went from a nonchalant grind to an all out kill fest it was great thanks kurt

Now here’s an option I’ve seen used a few times. Play the soundtrack of another game about the missing or bad one. Now this isn’t something I’ve done, but hey, why not? The Final Fantasy VII soundtrack is great with just about anything, but I’m more of a funky bass beat guy. But hey, genre isn’t that important here, it’s whatever helps you achieve your online role-playing goals. Either by escaping into a fantastical realm of surreal nature or by entering a raging murderous bloodbath. Everything is alright.

Some MMORPGs have done a great job of providing their own in-game music. An example I think of is Wow, since these are short clips (you can repeat them), I find them really nice and incredibly fitting to what’s going on around you. Kudos to Blizzard for that. Truly an excellent online RPG creator, certainly not the only skilled game creators of their. There are quite a few others.

Whatever your choice, keep in mind the fact that you have a choice. Many people just sit there and let the silence subconsciously bore them while they play otherwise great online games. Well, that or have pure virtual crap stuffed into their brains. No need for this my friends, go find some great music (if you’re not sure what this is, ask your parents or grandparents) and enjoy while relaxing with free online role playing games.
