My definition of rock and roll

“Rock and roll is sexual energy expressed in sound”

It all started with “Elvis the Pelvis.” Why do you think every girl in this country started swooning when they heard Elvis’s voice for the first time? It was because no one had ever heard a man sing something like “All Shook Up” and it shocked them to the core. Being so sexy came naturally to Elvis and the girls knew right away as if some kind of sexual email was being sent straight to their brains! Other rock and roll stars followed in Elvis’ footsteps very quickly. Jerry Lee Lewis knew what to do and got into a big ball of fire with his underage mistress. Chuck Berry was another natural, and he also created some serious trouble simply because he was black and white girls harassed him in a big way. I think that may have been the first time the pathetic, strung-out white male population had to deal with the issue of racial sex on this level.

Then the Beatles blew up. It was the Elvis phenomenon all over again, except all the Beatles really did was sing like gods, shake their mop heads and look adorable, and thousands of girls wet their panties at the same time. The effect was enhanced by their memorable simple love songs because those young women who were coming of age and dreaming of falling in love also connected on an emotional level. At first all they needed to write was “I want to hold your hand” and “Please please me” and millions of girls wanted to please them and hold something from them. The sexual message in his music was often very subtle, but Ringo’s driving beat made them want to get up and shake it all up.

Mick Jagger was another natural, like Elvis. From the beginning, “The Lips” knew how to give and get Satisfaction and followed up with a long series of hits against the wall with strong sexual messages like “Play with Fire”, “Live With Me” and the all time. classic musical expression of sex, “Going Home”. Oddly enough, it wasn’t Mick who put all the girls to bed, it was Bill Wyman, the bassist for the Stones. In his autobiographical book, Bill told it all, and his groupies totaled in the thousands. He never clarified in his book exactly why that happened to him and not in the same way to Mick, who must have gotten and continues to get who he really wants to have. But it happened and everything Bill ever did. he was standing there completely still and playing his bass looking a little sad and forlorn. There just has to be a logical explanation for Bill’s success, and I think I know what it is. (Don’t ask, I won’t tell.) .

Needless to say, much about the most powerful sexual dynamo, Jim Morrison, who told all the girls “Come on, baby, light my fire” and before passing out, they did what he wanted them to do. I’m not sure how many netizens understand what “Back Door Man” is about, but the song itself says “men don’t know, but girls understand”. I’ve said enough about that.

And then came Jimi Hendrix. The punishment is intentional. Jimi had to be the sexiest black musician of all time and few girls didn’t want to be his “Foxy Lady.” In fact, they used to line up outside his dressing room backstage and Jimi would go out and pick one or more at a time. He was another one who just couldn’t help it, though he understood exactly what he was doing and why. Later in his career, he stopped his sexy performance on purpose because he was a serious musician who wanted people to appreciate his playing and songwriting for being as creative as he was. He felt that his sexual spectacle was getting in the way of that kind of appreciation, so after he finished the Experience, he practically stood still playing with his eyes closed because he didn’t want to see the girls anymore.

I think the best example of sexual energy expressed in sound is Led Zeppelin. Every time they played live, Jimmy Page seemed to stagger across the stage like he was drunk, but he wasn’t drunk. It was just that the hurricane of sexual force coming out of his amp was too much for even Jimmy to bear. Now I am sure that most people are aware that rhythmic drumming awakens the sexual forces. Africans were despised and envied by whites for the sexual way they danced to their own drum music. John Bonham, who was without a doubt the greatest rock and roll drummer to ever walk the face of this planet, pounded his drums with such power that Led Zep’s sexual energy increased dramatically. The irresistible sexual energy in their music is just one of the many good reasons why I call Led Zeppelin the #1 rock and roll band of all time.
