Jeff Herring’s Inspirational Story – Lessons on How to Succeed in Times of Crisis

Jeff Herring’s inspiring story of change and eventual success is a timely example for all of us to follow. Regardless of how we perceive the state of the economy right now and whatever our beliefs, we cannot go wrong in following his lead. While I can’t tell his story as well as he does, my goal is to help spread his inspiring message. I feel that his inspiring story is an example for all of us to follow during these turbulent times on earth.

About three years ago, Jeff Herring found himself in a totally different situation. He was going through a divorce and his wife and children had moved to Atlanta, hundreds of miles away from where he ran a thriving marriage and family counseling practice in Tallahassee, Florida. To be with his two children every weekend, he drove a thousand miles, while closing his practice in Tallahassee and establishing a new livelihood in Atlanta.

Two years ago, on Christmas Eve, she found herself in Atlanta with enough money to pay for a cheap motel for the night or to spend on her children on Christmas Day. She chose to sleep in her truck and hang out in the motel lounge where she used to stay. Around one in the morning, while working on her laptop in the living room, she received an email from a friend wishing her a Merry Christmas. Jeff knew that this email contained a message for him. It was a sign that God was telling him that he knew Jeff’s life sucked right now, but things would get better soon. (Jeff had created an online article marketing product and it was starting to sell…)

For the next two years, Jeff continued to learn everything he could about article marketing and worked on his new business every day. Whether he felt like it or not, he wrote an article every day. Whether he felt like it or not, he gave a weekly teleseminar where he taught others how to market using articles. Over time, he widened his reach. Who would have known that Jeff was an introvert who also had to learn how to be an extrovert? “Argue for your limitations and you can stick to them,” says Jeff Herring.

Jeff says you do things out of desperation or inspiration. Desperation pushed him to achieve the results; the inspiration was his children and the future. He went through a learning curve, made his fair share of mistakes, but is now the “go to” expert in the field of article marketing. He, too, moved from the cheap motel to a 700-square-foot apartment and then into a comfortable house. Whereas he used to drive a thousand miles every weekend, he now enjoys a commute of about seventeen seconds, the time it takes to walk from his bedroom to his office. He maintains two households quite comfortably and expects the best business year from him this year. Jeff likes to emphasize what is important using a quote from Vance Havner: “The adventurer must follow the vision. It is not enough to look up, we must climb the stairs.”

Although Jeff’s inspiring story of change is an example of how you can create a new life no matter where you are right now, the timing is perfect for this now. The time is right to find the niche that resonates with you the most and do your heart’s work. By taking advantage of the urgency of the times, you can enter into a deeper communication with your inner self, your higher self, allowing you to touch people in new ways and discover the gifts that only you can provide. Another quote Jeff likes to use is, “When you follow your happiness, doors will open where you wouldn’t have thought there would be doors, and where there wouldn’t be a door for anyone else.”–Joseph Campbell

Your higher self is your bridge to your higher life plan and to the divine plan. And when you follow your inspiration daily (as Jeff Herring did), you’ll access the contribution only you can make, which is how to create your own inspiring story.
