Cert IV Training and Assessment Delivery Modes

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is delivered in a variety of modes and it is important to consider which is best for you.

When you enroll in your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment “TAE40110” You will have the option of studying at a distance, online, face-to-face or a combination of these known as blended modality. However, before making a decision on how to deliver the Cert IV TAE, there are a few things to ask yourself.

First, take a look at your current personal and professional schedule and ask yourself if you can spare time to attend an in-person training and assessment workshop. If the answer is yes, you may benefit from studying hard and completing a large part of the assessment in a short period of time. If the answer is no, you might consider studying Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (or upgrading from BSZ Prayed TAA) via remote mode or online. Distance and online means you have great flexibility to study where, when and how you want. The Cert IV TAE (TAE40110) does not have set hours, so you can use your time in the most effective way.

If you choose to study in person, you should check with your training provider for the length of your course. Some offer 5-day workshops, 10-day workshops, or even longer. Currently, within the training and assessment industry, the most preferred mode of assessment is through online delivery. However, if you’re having trouble deciding, you might consider the combined APR. Blended delivery incorporates both a workshop and a take-home study, and while similar to online delivery, the workshop provides a sense of direction and reduces the remaining workload for training and assessment students.

Second, it is important to consider how you will be taught. The face-to-face mode will have a large number of presentations, while the online delivery of the Certificate IV in TAE will focus on the student’s interaction with the learning material.

In general, the main difference between online and face-to-face delivery is the presentation to students. While the workshops are time-limited and promote intensive delivery of information, the online mode allows students to interact with the material at their own pace. Depending on your learning style and current commitments, you may have a preference based on one of these. All modes of delivery have both positive and negative aspects and can affect your ability to learn throughout the Cert IV training and assessment.
