You have to remember; If you buy products from a country like China, they do not have to follow any laws or regulations that your own country applies. Why risk such a large amount of money on a company that you will probably never see or visit?

I have even seen companies from China offering dropshipping around the world to try to attract victims. Drop shipping will never work from outside your own country. It can be days, weeks or months, for when the package goes through customs. Your customer won’t be very happy unless they live in China.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy wholesale from another country. But it’s not a very smart thing to do. Too many people are scammed every day by international wholesalers who don’t have to follow the same rules or regulations to keep things fair. You are rolling the dice if you choose to deal with an international wholesale distributor.

China has also been known to sell counterfeit items and the like. Some countries have strict rules on the sale of counterfeit merchandise. Just because you bought it from a company doesn’t mean the trade is legal. People go to jail all the time for selling counterfeit products. Countries like China do not have laws against the manufacture of counterfeit products. So they can sell them without getting into trouble.

International wholesalers have also been known to tell you what you are buying. You pay for the goods. Then they send you different goods that are worth much less. This switch-a-roo has been recalled thousands of times by international wholesalers. International wholesalers like this take advantage of people from other countries. They know they won’t get caught.

Do things within your own country. At least you’ll be covered if something goes wrong and it won’t be a total loss if something happens. You will keep your economy going. And you will know that all your transactions are legal.

I’m not saying you can’t make money if you choose to buy wholesale internationally. Some people make very good money. The risk factor is too high for me these days. There was a time when there were honest companies all over the world. These days, too many garbage companies are trying to steal hard-earned money from innocent people.

I bought from a company in China about 4 years ago. I did well for 2 years. I even knew the managers by name and they knew me well. One of my shipments never arrived. I figured they had it at customs. I called the company in China. They told me they shipped it and gave me a tracking number. The tracking number was real and said it was in transit. The package never left transit. Somehow it got lost. The company from China did not refund my money. International insurance was refused. I lost over seventy eight hundred dollars.

It was enough for me to never do business internationally again. To this day, I won’t even do business internationally. I’m not saying everyone internationally is bad or will rip you off. Most of the people in this world are very nice people. But the small percentage really ruins it for the rest of us. It’s sad to say, but nowadays, you always have to look over your shoulder. Technology makes it easier for criminals to scam people.

I’m just saying, be safe, be covered, do business within your own country. The low risk factor of doing business within your own country is rewarding. Doing business within your own country can make you a lot of money without worrying about being scammed.

Or you can make a lot of money and risk losing a lot of change from time to time. If that sounds good to you, then give international wholesalers a try. Most of them offer much lower prices that you will not find in your country.
