8 reasons to avoid extreme sports

People advertise extreme sports events and courses as if it’s a safe and cool thing you want to do. Say ah! But is not! It’s not like learning to play chess or watch a great movie at all.

Here is why:

1. You can be injured or killed.

It may sound very convincing that the rate of people who die in car accidents is higher than the rate of those who die from a parachute jump. But no matter what stats they show you, the truth is one: you can dies or at least is seriously injured while playing extreme sports. Happens all the time.

And you know, of course, those who don’t do such stupid things live forever.

2. It will cost you money.

Every extreme sport requires some equipment. For some sports such as skateboarding it is cheaper, for some such as diving it is more expensive, but without exception, practicing extreme sports will cost part of the money you spent so hard to earn.

Isn’t it a much better idea to spend your money on trendy brand t-shirts or cool tech gadgets?

3. Take time.

Most of the time the practice of an extreme sport requires you to go to a special place somewhere (water, mountain, hill). It takes time to get there, it takes time to practice, it takes time to get home, it takes time to rest. Sometimes extreme sports can take up all your free time.

Isn’t this sad? Instead, you could use this time for activities as cool as playing video games.

4. Your career may be affected.

Extreme sport will not only occupy your time, it will also occupy your brain. You will think about it, at the right time, at the next good time when you will. This often kills motivation at work and only makes you wait until the end of the workday.

It is much better to be a good employee, grow in career, and earn a good stable salary!

5. You can fall in love.

There are two ways you can fall in love: First, you can, and will most likely fall in love, with the extreme sport you are practicing. This is so bad for the reason already mentioned. Second, you may fall in love with some of your partners, a coach or instructor.

What an uncomfortable situation, it is much better to stay in your comfort zone and avoid falling in love with the crazy things.

6. You will feel bad at times when you cannot practice.

You will miss your extreme sport when you are at work, when you are far from the right place, when you do not have time or money, when the weather is not good … You will miss it all the time. And losing something hurts, believe me.

Life is so much more painless when you have nothing to lose and nothing to lose, isn’t it?

7. Your old friends will think you are crazy.

I bet they will. Imagine how they will look at you when you tell them that you are not joining the party on Friday because you have to get up early and go skydiving. They will think you are a fool. Many of them will be bored when they are excited to tell you about their latest mountain biking achievement. Some will even feel bad when they get fitter as a result of extreme sports.

And think for a minute about the moment you get injured. “I told you, I told you!”

8. You will lose interest in some usual activities.

Playing an extreme sport will brainwash you so much that you may no longer be interested in some common activities that you now enjoy. It is not just work. You will stop being interested in cool things like watching TV shows, playing video games, and even taking fun quizzes on Facebook.

Can you imagine this? Horrible!
