This type is quite simple to manage and is easily controlled using a web-based interface and can easily work in its default settings. The standard settings should only be changed if one of the more complex settings is used or if trying to control a specific function. Useful settings to configure include duplex, port bandwidth, LAN, or VLAN. Also, it is a reliable option to support the high volume of data transfer.

The enterprise-managed type is practical for larger organizations that need a system that allows for multiple changes and adjustments. These network switches need constant monitoring and must be managed by a network specialist due to the sheer complexity and size of the system.
